grief moodboard

The 2 top left images symbolise the feeling of isolation and lonelyness. The pit illustrates the feeling one gets when suffering from grief. (being trapped in an unescapable place) The center image is meant to show the exclusion people face from social circles, when they are going through something that not many people can relate too. The top right image conveys how suffering from grief is like walking on a tight rope that bends and contorts in many different ways chaotically. This is a reflection on the chaotic, emotional rollercoaster that grief leaves someone with. The bottom left image represents the potential of creativity that such traumatic experiances offer. The bottom center image is the idea of determination and motivation that someone can inherit, if they turn grief on it's head. The bottom right image reflects general positivity that someone can embrace for life, after they have gone through the stages of grief. The process will make them stronger as a person, ...

cinemagraph research

This cinemagraph of a globe spinning continuously next to a glass shows how movement in cinemagraphs should be cyclical, without any glitching if possible. However the video does lack any evidence of a part of the video being rasterised. Ideally, a good cinemagraph will include objects that will not remain still such as people. This collection of cinemagraphs in this video lack any cyclical movment but however do contain human subjects to act as a controled, still variable to intesify the subtle movement within the frame.

Take Three Give One: (scale, nostalgia and decay) animation

This is the animation I made for the 'Take three give one' project. It was created on the Adobe Animate CC program and consists of about 70 frames, over the duration of 3 seconds. More animation was planned, however due to time constraints, Only 3 seconds was completed, as animation is a time consuming process. To simulate the style of 'Rubber Hose' from the 1930's, no tweening of frames was done. Instead, each frame was made as an individual key frame, in order to contain for smooth movement in the animation. A drawing pad was used to draw the apple directly onto the Adobe Animate program. Although this was a direct method of animation. the drawing pad lacked the physical feedback that a pencil on paper would provide. Therefore, the drawings contained less detail and polish.
